Porterhouse Clothing & Supply is a brick-and-mortar menswear shop in Eugene, Oregon. They opened their doors knowing that eCommerce would be a big part of their business.
Working with Sterner Stuff, they used Shopify to build a digital-first business. Shopify’s traditional eCommerce product, combined with their POS offering, make for seamless store operations across sales channels.
We kept in mind that this was a small shop just getting started. Shopify has built their platform to convert shoppers into buyers. By focusing strictly on brand, photography, and content, we were able to build a website quickly without worrying about what product pages or checkout looked like.

Omni-channel Inventory, Sales, & Reporting
The Porterhouse team doesn’t have to bounce between different systems for in-store sales versus online ones. Shopify handles everything in one place. No clunky or manual inventory syncing. No explaining to customers how to buy different gift cards for online or in-store shopping. It’s all in one place.
Big ROAS from Google Shopping
With a small $5/day budget in a simple Google Smart Shopping campaign (now called Performance Max), they were able to generate 21% of their 2020 holiday revenue through online sales. Over time, they’ve increased their budget to nearly $50/day to generate 55 online sales for over $8,000 in May 2026—a return on ad spend of 568%.
As a brand new store, that small daily budget and a few online sales here and there meant that even if it took time to catch on and be discovered in Eugene, online shoppers looking for the products they carry would help ease the startup financial burden. Online sales helped to cushion slow seasons and provide a larger audience to clear out old inventory that didn’t do as well in-store.
